SASE Election 2013-2014
Message from the PresidentGreetings,
There is always a first time for everything. Here is an opportunity to take the first step towards developing your leadership skills. You have taken the first step towards developing bonds with your fellow SASE members that will assist you throughout your remaining years of college. We need your dedication and support for the chapter. We need you to continue the legacy and accomplish things we have not been able to achieve within the last 2 years on this campus. This opportunity can set you apart from most of your peers. SASE at Clarkson is relatively new. Therefore, there is plenty of room for potential growth and new ideas. By stepping up to leadership, you are giving your support for this chapter on full display and that is something we cannot help but appreciate. I urge you to read the election packet carefully. It will have information you need to know for election. From eboard requirement to available positions, be sure you understand what is being asked of you and ensure that you fully understand what your potential position requires. Being a leader is a commitment. It requires dedication, willingness to be proactive and to learn. I guarantee you this venture will teach you some of the most crucial life lessons about team work, professional relationships, business etiquette and so much more. Many are skills that you will not learn until you are in the workforce. You will have all the supports you can ever need. If you have any questions about the positions, I encourage you to not only contact myself but also reach out to the predecessors. In any event, I wish you all the best of luck! So far, I have served as publication chair and two terms as the president of the SASE Clarkson Chapter. My experiences so far have helped me both professionally and individually. I guarantee that if prepared challenge, it can do the same for you. XiaoJun Huang [email protected] 2012-2013 SASE President 2013-2014 SASE President Emeritus |
